My pal Lobie

Merry Christmas from Lobie and me!

My dear German Shepherd is ready for Christmas with his log cabin doggie house showing some spirit! This is the kindest most sensitive dog ever! He comes to me as if he is telling me he is here for me, no worries! He helps me walk and pulls me if I need help! This is one special guy and I rely on him greatly. I am alone alot here on the mountain and we (Lobie & I) have lenghty conversations! He knows what I am talking about most of the time! You may think this is really silly, but I swear this dog just knows and listens, and tilts his head and takes it all in!

We call him King of the Mountain! He covers so much ground in a short time. He has hundreds of acres to run after every possible critter that he can see, smell or hear! This morning we had a beautiful Bobcat visitor that quickly was challenged by Lobie and hid in the boulders until I dragged Lobie back inside! The cat must have gone off, back to his safety zone. Doubt he'll be back anytime soon!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! Deb

A Merry Holiday

Happy Thursday stampers, scrappers and crafters!

Is it over yet? Whew, these last few days are something! The good news is my DH announced today he got my jacuzzi tub for my soon to be remodeled bathroom! Whohoo! He will make the vanity out of cherry and a beautiful granite counter top will make it just right! The flooring and bath walls will be a beautiful champagne Travertine. The face of the tub will have the same tiles, framed out nicely. My tub is getting raised up so I will have an easier time getting in and out. There are benefits to having a builder hubby, you just have to learn to wait for what you want! Enough already! I have waited and I am so over waiting!

My baths are so important to me! I love having the candles and bubbles every night! Oh yeah baby, Calgon take me away! I always think of the cute bubbling Bella stamp! I must get her! That image is so me!

My grand babies are so healing for me! Just what I needed to forget for a little while about my serious health conditions. I am so very thankful for there darling little buns!

My card is rather straight forward, the wonderful paper is from a big slab I bought at Michael's. I found this nice oval sentiment sticker, yes sticker in my stash! I love it for this card! The card stock base is from Bazzil, pre scalloped so nicely in this lovely shade of green. Sheer green ribbon on side, gift from Lockhart Stamps, when I ordered the sweet angel.

Thank you for your visits during this hectic last few days before the BIG day! Stay merry and bright!

Merry Christmas

Merry Friday stampers, scrappers and crafters!

I made this card for my dear niece Katie, and her new hubby Andrew, they live in Austin, Texas. Talk about a cool place to visit! When they got married back in April, I had a chance to explore just a wee bit of Austin. Great food, colorful fun hip people, and music everywhere! Great for the 20's-30's crowd, although I am in the mid 50's crowd and had a blast! They just adore living in Austin!

Another rough health week, sorry for no posts since Tuesday, I am trying gals! I am behind on my google reader and trying daily to catch up! Please hang in there with me! I certainly appreciate you all so very much!

In any event, I have the Christmas spirit going on, and I even put a nice garland over my doggies door way into his custom hand made (by DH) dog house! I will get pic soon and share how cute he looks in there! He will of course have his big red bow on Christmas Day! He will be slurping the grand babies with tons of lovings! I think my 3 year old GD is now big enough he won't knock her over accidentally! He is quite the gentle giant with the kiddies, just huge!
This weekend hubby and I will seek out the perfect Noble Fur and bring the pine aroma into our home. That certainly does complete the feeling in the home with all the gifts underneath. I enjoy seeing that image, as the presents get opened so quickly on the big day! I have been making (of course) my little gift tags, it does make it so personal and special I think. So at little wrapping each day, and rest for me. Those babies are going to wear my hearth out with joy! (wink)!
The card stock base is Corduroy by Paper Co. Always artichoke by SU and the PP is Poinsettia Swirls by Sandylion. The sentiment stamp (Merry Christmas) is Flourishes. The wide satin ribbon is by the yard from M's.

Have a great evening and weekend! Thanks for your visits! Deb

Evening sunset

My daily walk with Lobie (German Shepherd) was quite a gorgeous sunset last evening. The wind had blown much of the day and the end result was to see the ocean and the pretty skies above. I just thought it was a nice picture to share!
