My swet pea and an altered frame

Happy holidays!
I have been creating last minute gifts and cards and baking and do my best to stay well through this holiday time! I have not been on the computer hardly at all! I will be probably taking a posting break and blog a bit as I can for the next week. We are expecting another whopper cold rain and wind storm here in southern California, due in Christmas Eve! Christmas will be a very wet and cold and windy one this year! No flip flops sitting by the palm trees! LOL! Global warming? Ha!
I wanted to share a cute picture of Isabella, my 4 year old grand daughter that I go on about all the time! The picture was taken at her recent "Tre' Chic' birthday party!
I made my my 90 year old Mom an altered frame for a picture from her party of she and I and my girls together to go in it for her Christmas present this year.
Gotta run now and get my hair done, have a great week in case I do not pop back to post something!
Happy holidays to you all!

Santa mailbox for Bella

This brought me so much joy to create for dear Isabella! Bella is my darling 4 year old grand daughter lives in Calgary, Canada and I miss her just terribly! So this cute mailbox is on its way to Bella! Hope the custom inspectors don't get too snoopy!
There is some mail inside from Santa and Grandma too!
Sorry the picture is funky, but it was taken at night and the light hit the box with a bit of a glare.

How merrie is this little box? I just adore it! I hope it put a smile on your mug too!
Merry stampin'!

Sheet music with a tag

I wanted to incorporate a tag on this card, so here is what I came up with! I inked the tag with Tim Holtz Mustard Seed and placed the K & Co. mini tag on it. Lots of SU! ribbon and some cool music sheet paper from Mike's. Card stock is Purely Pomegranate -SU! The star is from K & Co.
I have something real cute to share tomorrow, before I box it up and send it off! So please do stop back by to see! (wink)!
Have a great Thursday, thanks for your visits!
Merry stampin'!

Believe

Believe!
My card today is simply created. The paper is so pretty IRL, complimented with Always Artichoke and Purely Pomegranate ~SU! The K & Co. sentiment has a vintage feel that I really adore! I bought a nice little box of mixed vintage Christmas sentiments and tags, at Mike's! (50% coupon)! The box is way cool too! Holly glittered leafs from my Poinsettia tin (Mike's).
Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!
Merry hugs,

Monday Snow Fun!

Monday snow fun!

Hi there! Hope your weekend went great!
My weekend started out manageable then the swelling and pain began like you wouldn't believe! Bummer!
I have had a serious feet set back, plus we had a little power outage Sunday, so I immediately went back to bed for three hours and slept some more! I am able to walk a little better today, the pain is not nearly what it was. I prayed for some relief and asked my healing angels to fill my room each night as I sleep. I do believe in angels and the power of miracles. Anytime would be good! (wink)!
I just have to be careful not to sit too long, much better to have legs up and in the Jacuzzi tub!
It has been so nice reading your comments! I appreciate them so very much! Thanks ladies!
Merry hugs, have a good week!

Christmas Cardinal

What are you all up to this weekend? I hope your shopping is finished or you can do it on line! I would imagine it will get to be longer lines each weekend! No thanks! Not a very merrie thing to me! I use to go CHrsitmas Eve at 6AM and get great deals and be finished by 8 and it was great! Now ever day is sale day!
I managed to get to Linens and Things today, to find a sparse store with some great deals! Since they are going out of business, I scored in the cookware department! I needed a new roasting pan, and with Christmas dinner coming up, I got one.! We do a prime rib every Christmas since we are over the turkey deal. Nothing like a fantastic USDA premiuim choice prime rib from my favorite meat department at my special store. Of course those of you in Canada have amazing beef! I love it! (wink)! I also found a new cooling cookie rack and a muffin pan. All top quality and all cheap! The bed and bath section was rocking too! I bought a couple of gorgeous bath towels (creamy beige) and all of that was less than $30.00 US dollars! They are selling these great stainless steel racks from displays and I want to get hubby over there and grab a two or three of them! Perfect for craft room or his endless boxes of files! They are about 4 feet tall, 3 feet wide and super sturdy. I think they were about $80.00 bucks all ready to go in the truck! I think they would have such great function in whatever capacity we used them as.

So my Cardinal card (finally) is fitting with the season, I always pull him out this time of year! DP -g. c. d -Stamp-Delta -Mike's . Stickels on the pine branches. Prima flowers, pretty red satin ribbon from Mike's (by the yard). I will stamp inside the card a Christmas greeting.
Have a merry weekend stampin' if you get a chance! I have started pulling out my angel collection and placing them about the house. I keep the decorating very simple, no grand babies this year, (sad Granny)!!! so no cutsie fuss needed! I wish they were coming!!! Believe me if I was physically able to travel, I would be in Calgary in a heart beat! We all miss them so very much, as you can imagine!
Pete will get the white lights up in the palm trees this weekend or next at the latest, and a wreath out front is in order of course! I have already purchased quite a few lovely Poinsettia's for the house, as they are grown right close by here. They sure last a long time! I love them! They just get better and better each year!
Chattie post for me,! Thanks for stoppin by, I appreciate your visits very much!
Oh so merry!

Mele Kalhikhea and a new baby card!

Oh baby!
My daughter Brittney's good friend Sandi, just had her second child! A gorgeous baby girl, Audrey Lin.
Love that darling scalloped punched SU! DP! Too cute for the newbie! $ bin baby buggie stamp at Mike's!

Mele Kaliklimaka (Merry Christmas-Hawaiian)
This card is for my dear brother Richard and his wife Margie. They live in Kauai, and this looks so much my brother, funny! The stamp company is Hawaiian, and I don't have the stamps in front of me right now. I will add the stamp info tomorrow. Can you see the Stickles on Santa's beard and hat? He has quite the tan going on!!! The rhinestones on the side are green, it doesn't show well on my screen. I also made a set of Mahalo (thank you) note cards for Margie to have on hand. Very simple and nice, I am sure she'll get use of them. I will take picture tomorrow to share with you all.
I am making my 90 year old Mom her cards this year to send out, going to keep it festive and simple for her, hope to get those off to her by Saturday, God willing! Luckily she doesn't require too many cards!
Thanks for stopping by hugs to you all! Happy stamping and gift making! Ho ho ho!!!

A trio of topiaries

Hi blogging buddies!
I certainly hope all of the folks in the USA had a yummy blessed Thanksgiving! I am still recovering! LOL! I had a bit of a set back again sorry to say, but the day carried on with the complete traditional dinner and then some! It was the first time I have ever had Thanksgiving in my PJ's! My daughters didn't care and Pete certainly didn't either! My girls hung out with me in bed and we had a good time given the situation at hand! I just felt so blessed to have had them here to care for me. Pete was sensational and did the entire shopping for dinner on Wednesday! He was funny, he said that he had no idea what went into the fixings of a big feast! He called me from the market 10 times, it was so cute! He got it all right, down to the slivered almonds! Don't you love it? I think he is a keeper!
I never left the dinner table after the meal was through and desert, and before I could even blink my girls had the kitchen cleaned and dishwasher going! I was blown away! They went into the kitchen like a swat team and attacked the entire mess!
We all spoke with the Calgary crowd and my grand daughter, Isabella (4 years old) was a chatting little munchkin! She loves her Auntie's and "Pete the builder" as she refer to him as!
Hope you all like my trio of topiaries today! I will try and visit your blogs as best I can. My reader is some ridiculous number! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by, your visits just make me smile so Much! I will be sporadic as far as card making goes, as my days are difficult at best. My angels are with me, I can just feel it!
I have received some very nice RAK's that I will share this week, thank you so kindly for your kind words and prayers!
Take care, be back soon!Deb
