Beate's WSCS #55

Good evening!
Happy to report I wiggled and jiggled my camera and finally got it to upload! Whew! I wanted to get this card up tonight at the latest! Fun easy layout which allowed so many possibilities! Especially for a long horizontal stamp such as my barn yard friends! I just love this group! WHich one is your favorite? I love them all, but I really think that piggy is just the cutest? Thanks Beate for another fun weekend sketch! All of the cards I have seen for the sketch are great! Too much fun!

It was a gorgeous day and fun to people watch! We sat on the beach for awhile and relaxed and chatted and hugged a bunch too! Now dear Pete is just happy to be home with his clicker in his hand and stretched out on the couch! (big smile here)!
Enjoy your Labor Day doings! Thanks for stoppin by, you know I love it when you do!

This card was so fun to color and put together! (Copics & Prismacolored pencils)
My camera finally died! I need a new one like yesterday! The dial spring is broken and it won't allow me to turn it to upload my pictures (cards) to my computer! Bummer! I have been winging it with a jiggle, but not any more! It has been a good little camera for 6 years! The Kodak Easy Share, it is prehistoric now anyway, the one I do have. is pre large screen on backside, if that gives you a clue! He he!
Have a happy day! BBQ and be merry!

Birthday card for Cindy

Good Saturday morning!
I wanted to share I card that I made for my best bud of over 35 years, who just had a birthday! She received the card and loved it so it is safe to post now! The tree stamp is from Hero Arts and i added baby blue dimensional pearls. Love those pearls, so pretty! The image is poped up with dimensionals and the satin ribbon adds a nice touch.
I am going to pick Pete up at the train station, but I am leaving a little early so I can stop at my favorite scrapbook store with the most amazing paper inventory! I of course need more paper like a hole in my head! Maybe that's the problem, there is a hole in my head! He he! LOL Deb!
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by to say hi!

Such joy!

Good morning! 2 pictures for the price of one! Never mind! (Not intentional)
I didn't waste anytime getting some ink on the new set that Beate sent to me! This card's main attraction is the joy stamp! Love it! I could see mass production on these puppies! Great classic look!
Recipe: CS-PTI,Bazzill dark green. PP-Provo Christmas pack 07", Stamps-SU! joy 07' Christmas set. Ribbon-Offray Michael's.
There is a 3 day scrapbook show at the San Diego Convention Center this weekend. Labor Day weekend? Seems odd for a show! I would love to get there, but I am not sure I am able. (frown face here) DH, Peter offered to take me Sunday, but it is not wheelie friendly at all! Last year my daughter and I tried that plan. and no way to get down the crowded aisles let alone in a booth! I may have a miraculous Sunday and be able to make it for a bit with my cane, if it is meant to be it shall be! No worries, I can always stamp and blurf and at go down to the beach! Not so bad! Pete loves to eat at the beach (Jake's) and have his favorite giant shrimp skewers wrapped with Prosciutto and cream cheese! I am telling you they are so yummy! Jake's is right on the sand in Del Mar,so this would certainly be a great alternative ! We can watch the surfers and hang on the beach it is way cool, sometimes we see the dolphins frolicking in the waves!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! Special thanks to Beate for bringing some fabulous sunshine into my life this week! Love ya!

Allison's "Fat" ribbon challenge!

Time for another challenge by Allison!
The lady says fat! That is impossible for me, I eat cake and ice cream just to get some fat! he he!
The context implied is fat as in ribbon! I only have one wide ribbon for such a Allison occasion! I think it worked okay! It is a pretty semi shear floral that I put along the bottom part of the card. The card is a tri fold with the envelope panel face. I used some green fern pattern paper and applied pretty silk leaves on top with a purple Prima. The petite round circle has "so sweet" stamped inside it.
Easy peasy, fat ribbon is fun!
Thanks for stopping by, I love your visits!

My card today is especially made for my dear bud Diane (ddnjoys2stamp) whose sister in law has had a serious heart attack and car crash as a result of it. Fresh herbs

Good morning!
First off, I wanted to say how thrilled I was to win Beate's first challenge since her summer break from these fun sketches! I was floored to read I had been lucky to win the challenge and cool prize of a SU? set! Whoo hoo! A great way to start my week off indeed! Thanks Beate!
My card for today is a stamp I just adore, especially since I have fresh herbs 365 days a year growing here! Some are in pots and some are in the ground, such as the Rosemary which is a huge bush at this point! If you get the opportunity to grow fresh herbs you'll certainly appreciate cooking with them!
I leave you with the ingredients for this card and wish you all a fine good day! Thank you for stopping by!

BEATE"S BACK!

SCS #54 - Beate's weekend sketch/challenge!
I always try and participate in Beate's weekly challenge, and this is her first one since her summer break. I did tweak it just a bit, sorry Beate, it just kind of worked out that way! (wink)! How do you like the new paper I found by Dream Street Papers? It is two sided, one side the cool flowers and the other side the fun colorful dots!
Quick post as the closing ceremonies are on now, but here is the recipe:
CS-Real Red-SU! DP-Dream Street Papers (The Menagerie-Wishes)
Stamps- SU! Ink-REal Red-SU! Versa fine black onyx
Prismacolored pencils, red bling (stash) Marvy scallop punch and hand cut circle traced around a ribbon spool! I am probably the only stamper on the planet without Nestie's! I am so deprived! What's up with that I ask myself? Must fix that real soon here, they are so wonderful!
Have a terrific week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Birthday invitations for the BIG 30!

Good evening!
30 cards for a 30th birthday party!
My daughter (Brittney) and I just completed all of her "big 30" party invites! The invites were originally to be a simple design for mass production, but this was not such the case! LOL! Britt wanted the tri fold and it took me a long time to cut each one out and score and cut the paper for the front flap. Britt loved the pink chandelier clear overlay paper with the black Bazzil shimmer, but the only problem was. nobody had any more chandelier clear, she bought the last 2 sheets! Then she found the cute colorful paper and we needed the teal paper, I bought all they had and we were still short! So a few peeps will receive a variation on the teal color and some will receive the chandlier cards (they'll never know)! I think they are both so nice! It looks easy peasy in the picture, as it was, just super time consuming for a novice like myself! The invite information stamp had been intended for a vertical card, so we had to wing it! Britt wanted her bling, so she was on bling detail and pre cut all the ribbon for me. I found on line the script number stamp set for her "30" for the scallop. We Strong magnets were adhered on back, so people could put on their refrigerator. At the end of the day, my dear Brittney is quite please with her invites! That is what really matters! The time we spent together creating these was so special and fun! Just tell that to my legs! LOL!
I just can't imagine someone throwing them in the trash after the party? OMG! I don't think I could bare to know! We worked so long on them! It just crossed my mind because you know that ultimately that's where they will end up! Oh well! (Unhappy face here)! We just need to think about how much they will love them when they open the envie up, right? (happy face here)!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Good evening all!
Better late than never with my post today! This is the first time all day I have had a chance to be at the computer! One of those days!
I find that I never have enough sentiment stamps, just the right one I need for so many cards! For instance, these darling lobsters by High Hopes, I wanted the stamp "just be-claws+! DO I have that one, certainly not and I sure wish I did! Just those little fun sayings are the ones I need the most! So I found a little stick on laugh. It is not really happening but for now it is there! LOL!

Pumpkin happiness

Good morning stampers!
Happy Saturday everyone! Although summer has many more months here in sunny southern California, the fall colors are some of my favorites. So with that in mind, I pulled out this 6 x 6 paper pack by MM and made a card with the inspiration from the colors.
On the home front, my oven blew up a few weeks ago! Well it didn't really blow up, it just made a ton of noise and sizzled and fried and died! So I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new stainless range this weekend! I miss my steamed veggies every day! Thank goodness for BBQ's! So hooray, a self cleaning, smooth top, stainless back splash oven is coming! (next to buy will be a stainless frig, it isn't very old though so it will be an elective purchase). We do not have gas here, and no propane tank so we do the electric thing. Good thing we didn't have a propane tank last October when the huge ranging fires swept through, and came so close our garden hose burned! Hello! If there had been a propane tank nearby, that would have been the end of it! So I think electric is a good thing in a high risk fire area.
I do count my blessings to be sure!
Card recipe: CS-White-PTI-black-Bazzill. PP--MM-. Stamps: image-Inkadinkado, sentiment-SU! Ink-Versa fine black onyx, gold bling ,from stash , ribbon-Michael's.
Have a great weekend, be well and enjoy!

Gift set for Bella

Question: How do you delete a picture without deleting the entire post?
Happy Thursday stampers!
I made this little set for my dearest grand daughter Isabella (Bella). She adores her treasures and saves all the cards I send her ,and doesn't destroy them any more! LOL! Coming up on 4 years old in November, she is quite the girly girl! So sweet, and so far away in Calgary! I weep...
I bought the little plain white bags at Michael's and cut the top down to size and put the card stock on the front and back of the bag. I created the handles with the ribbon and inside will be goodies for Bella! I made her a little birdie bookmark too! The little pale will be cute for her crayons and pencils, or whatever she sees fit to carry around in it!
I am working on 30 birthday invites for my daughter Brittney's BIG 30! We started out with a nice simple template for mass production, then guess what happened? She saw one of my envelope fold cards and said "Oh Mom could you do them like this, with vellum on the inside"? Oh sure Britt, no problem! I pray I stay well to get this cute project done and get these in the mail to her! It is coming together and the paper and card stock she chose is fabulous!

The hippo was such a perfect stamp for this bag! Thanks to Tammy over at Stamp Happy. Tammy recently made a bag with the hippo and I knew this stamp would be the one I would use! Thanks for the hippo inspiration! These little bags at Michael's are just the best for these cute projects! I used the same bags for the watermelon tote awhile back.

Toadally!

Happy Saturday stampers!
Olympic mania! Oh I can't wait for the girls gymnastics on Sunday! I just love our Shannon! Gold all the way baby! My youngest daughter was state champion 10 years ago, I know how hard these girls work for this! It completely consumes ones life, that is your entire life! That is what it takes to be on top. My daughter burned out and decided that she just wanted to be a normal young lady! She accomplished so much, she will never regret or ever forget her wonderful years at the gym.
Now on to my toad card ladies! Ribbit, ribbit! Do you love him? I named him Timothy the toad. We had a house guest hoping around for awhile, the smallest toad you ever did see! I named him Timothy. Never could catch him, I hope he made it back outside! LOL! So when I saw this stamp of course the first thing I thought of was Timothy! He he!
The layout is from one of Beates WSCS challenges some months back. I do love this sketch and it works great for layering CB paper.

Christmas card oh my!

Good morning stampers!
A Christmas card to share today! I bought this stamp after the holidays last year and I was wanting to ink it up! These 5 snowmen are sporting their cool scarfs and smiling all the way! I decided to put the holiday sentiment only on the inside of the card, the front has plenty going on! I hope you smile and cool off when you see this card! Aren't they cute?
On a medical note, my appointment went fine, labs are normal (as normal as they are for me) and nothing scheduled now until November, God willing! Thanks for your concerns, I really appreciate it very much.

I have been blessed with a couple of pretty good days here, so you know the first thing I am doing is stamping!
I needed to send my dear SIL (Margie) in Kauai a thank you (mahalo) card so this is my creation for her! I adore this image and will never let her get too far out of sight! Miss You!

Good news!

I have a card to share! Yippie skippie! I hope I will have a consistent week of posting, I have missed you!
I can only take a day at a time, God decides each day for me and I do my best with what I am given.
Your sweet comments and encouragement has surely been an inspiration to me! Thank you!
My friend Diane (ddenjoys2stamp) sent me a few images last week, this darling young lady was among one of them. I do believe she is a SU! image. Thanks Diane! I adore this pattern paper and finally it came together to use it for this layout.
Hope your Sunday is fabulous, and your summer weather is as great as ours is in sunny southern California, just right with those ocean breezes. Good napping weather! (wnk)! Lobie has the right idea!
All of the SU! convention stories will be covering blogland tonite and this coming week, I am looking forward to the new cattie for sure, are you? Only one slight obstacle as I see it, serious dent in the stamp bank! "Oh hubby, the new SU! cattie is here"...his response will be, "how much is this going to cost me"? I always say ALL YOU"VE GOT! He he! So predictable!, I just love him!
No boring medical news to share with you, I am just dealing the best I can, lets just say for now. Again many thanks for your kind comments and prayers, they are healing for me. Creating is healing, it makes me happy to be able to share a creation! I think you all know how much you love to make cards so I know you understand. (wink)!

I am so blessed!

Dearest Diane from Canada sent me some more love yesterday! (ddenjoys2stamp) I was in tears of appreciation and it just means the world to me you all! How very special to know the effort has been made to put together a little care package and send it to me! I felt special and humbled. What a lovely RAK indeed! Darling note pad with my chair, Diane envisions me sitting in here in sunny California! Wonderful images to play with and quite the outstanding card! Sunflowers are always smiling and they make me smile too!

Big hugs to Diane! Hope you have a good camp this weekend! My blessings are always with you.
