Enjoy life's simple pleasures

Happy Saturday stampers, scrappers & crafters!
I just bought some OMS , although I used a nose mask and kept an open window right next to me! I have no clue as to what I am doing with the shading and blending! LOL! I also bought these little guys called stumps, for applying the shading effect.,well the dear gal at Michael's forgot to put them in my bag! So I have been improvising with another applicator for now. This stuff is really tricky for me, and it will take lots of practice, just like the Copics do! My art inspiration and whom I aspire to some day be able to color and shade half as well as i s Ila, over at Artfully Ila! ( I can never get the darn links to work!) sorry! If you aren't familiar with her High Hopes artistry you are in for a treat! Check out her blog for sure! Ila is so darn sweet, not to mention her endless emails back and forth to me with all of my questions! I just wish I could spend a day with her! There is just a slight geographical hurdle however, she is way up in Canada ( eastern portion I think) and I am way down here in southern California! Darn I hate when that happens! Well at least I have been fornunate enough to get to know her at all! (smiles)!
This card is my first attempt using the spirits. The stamp is from Stampabilites, CS-Very Vanilla (SU!) -Berry Sorbet and matching pp (Papertrey Ink), leaf stamps, Treehouse Stamps, Sentiment-Treehouse stamps, Ink-Black (Inkadadinkado) Prismacolored pencils, Pastel chalks (leafs) SU! Ribbon, by the yard M's.
I hope this card is acceptable for my first mineral spirits attempt! (wink)! I will keep at it, I have nothing but time to practice as long as I am able, for which I thank God for each and every day!
Have a wonderful weekend, thanks for stoppin by! Be back soon, Deb

Oh my Deb! You did a fantastic job on your coloring...no kidding! This is really your first time? This is so beautiful, AWESOME job!!! I also wish I could spend the day with someone who could show me how to blend using the Prisma pencils & OMS. I'm a visual person, I can do better by seeing it done.

Oh Deb, I think you did a great job with the coloring! I'm new to the colored pencils / gamsol too, and I think it's fun. My coloring isn't as good as most, but it's good enough for me! I'll keep getting better too. I think this image is fantastic, your coloring is great, and this card is lovely!
